What if I told you there is an organic way for you to force any information you like under test conditions?

What if I also informed you that if you lost your entire act on your way to your show, you could create a 15-minute show stopper by visiting any stationery store?

What if I told you the setup only takes 2 minutes?

And finally, what if I told you this gimmick costs pennies to construct?

All this is possible with...

HACKED

HACKED is a 149-page hardback book containing 8 powerful routines with detailed explanations and illustrations.

FOREWORD and additional ideas by PAUL BROOK.

WHAT CAN HACKED DO?

With HACKED you can FORCE ANY NUMBERS you desire! You can also:

  • Freely have two sets of numbers deleted by a participant and still always arrive at your force total.

  • Display the participants' numbers for everyone to see.

  • Have the numbers HACKED (mixed) up to generate new numbers.

  • No stooges.

  • Easy to do.

  • Self-working.

  • Perform HACKED for an audience of 10 people or 10,000.

There are five NUMBER effects included to suit your environment and performing style. They are:

HACKED

Six 4-digit numbers get generated by the audience. A judge makes a few decisions, the numbers are totalled openly, and the performer predicts the final total. The audience believes the effect is over, but there is still a final twist to create a showstopper ending.

HACKED DOWN

This is a stripped-down version of HACKED. This handling is perfect for intimate stage/parlour performances.

ROUTINE #3

In this version, the participants' numbers are mixed randomly by the audience to generate new numbers. Even after all this randomness, the performer predicts the final outcome entertainingly.

ROUTINE #4

This routine is essentially the same as ROUTINE #3 but includes a different ending.

ROUTINE #5

This is the most baffling version of the HACKED concept. Six 4-digit numbers get generated, displayed on stage, and mixed into oblivion! Yet the performer can still force any number they wish. DATES, CONFAB, CRYPTEXT, ANYTHING!

*Routine 3, 4, and 5 titles have been edited to protect the secret as they allude to some methods used.

Although HACKED was originally an add-a-number effect, the possibilities with the methods included are endless. You can force anything! WORDS, OBJECTS, CELEBRITIES, SONGS, MOVIES...

 BONUS ROUTINES

ROUTINE #1

Six random words generated by the audience, the performer elicits a judge to come on stage and make a few decisions with these words in secret. Without looking at the words, the performer instantly divines the randomly generated word, and proves with 100% certainty this would always be the outcome. A 600,000 to 1 shot!

DUOS EXITUM

Six random words get generated by the audience in secret. The judge selects one of the words in their mind. The performer draws attention to the open prediction on display and has been for the entirety of the show. Inside a clear envelope is that EXACT word they are thinking of. A perfect match!

OBJECTION

Five random objects get generated by the audience in secret. The judge thinks of one of these objects, and the performer instantly plucks the item from their mind. As an added kicker, the performer produces that EXACT object magically. Proving influence has been at play.

HACKED is a limited release, and only 200 copies will ever exist and not be available elsewhere at a later date. Only a select few know the secrets and routines included in this 153-page hardcover book.

Each copy of HACKED will be personally numbered and signed by KALEB.

ACCLAIM FOR HACKED

KALEB has only shared this secret with a small number of performers, and here is what they have to say:

This is a fantastic version of Add a Number! Kaleb has solved all the potential problems of this plot and devised an utterly impenetrable mystery. Highly recommended.
— MARC PAUL

I thought my current stage show was hard-coded and fully programmed…now it’s been well and truly ‘Hacked’.
— PAUL BROOK

I have explored a similar concept in my own work regarding number predictions. In fact, I came really close to this, and happily used my own solution regularly in my own shows.

However, Kaleb has really pushed this further than I thought possible with Hacked. Like me, Kaleb is a performer, and addresses real world issues that I had with such effects. Hacked adds a highly deceptive layer to the basic method for number predictions, and upon reading the material, I immediately started thinking about how I could integrate it into my own work.

Recommended.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the rumours are true. This IS f-ing brilliant.
— Barry Fazackerley

It was a Tuesday evening and I was busy restoring order to the universe when I received a call from Kaleb; “Mate I’m on something” “Oh right” I said “What are you on?” “Wash your ears out you divvy, I said I’m onto something!” Kaleb replied.

We chuckled like a pair of naughty kids wagging school! Kaleb then shared with me what I can only describe as furking devious, Hacked is pure genius and suited to just about every style of mentalism. Kaleb’s constantly devising new routines and adding subtleties that even us mere hobbyists can appreciate. BUY THIS NOW, you really won’t be disappointed!
— RYAN MENTIS (MENTALIST BLOGGER)

I bought “Hacked” by Kaleb Wade recently, and I must say this is a masterpiece. The method is well explained and easy to understand. It takes an old well-known principle and makes it much better and more deceiving. I have used “add a number” before, but I always had a problem with it, because of the “secretness” of the numbers. Kaleb Wade gives subtleties that makes this a killer. I recently used it for 150 people as a closer, and everyone was blown away.

I highly recommend it (and other works of Kaleb). Kaleb is also very helpful and generous with his many good ideas.
— JACOB PEDERSEN

I will now have to check out Kaleb’s other products, Hacked is really good, great methods, variations, thinking, standing on the shoulder of giants, and most of all easy to do.

10/10.

Today’s Mentalism market is over saturated with the latest promise of a new secret and more often than not it’s nothing new and if it is, it’s not practical!

This is not that kind of offering! Kaleb makes no claims to new exciting principles to achieve the desired results! But what is truly new here is Kaleb’s awesome reworking and refining of a classic in the Add-A-Number plot and has literally breathed so much life into it! It’s not just got legs, these legs are on steroids!

I am lucky enough to class Kaleb as a friend and in the realm of mentalism my friends are only a handful but that handful are all true gents, trustworthy legends in their field and I hold them dearly! That being said I paid Kaleb in full and am not writing this to try and push a product for him! Infact I come late to the release of this product with submitting a review for Kaleb.

My favourite routine is The Awe-Sum Hack I just love the way the routine moves from just a simple Add-A-Number to a full fledged piece of mind reading! The participants truly having a free choice of eliminating numbers and yet you still arrive at your F***E!

This release is Kaleb’s first offering for parlour/stage performances and you will not want to miss this limited release!

Thank you Kaleb for sharing your many many ideas in this volume!!!
— SCOTT MAY

So imagine you are a neophyte mentalist. An impatient one: you’ve seen all that stuff Derren does, and you want to do it. Now. People keep thrusting annoying things called books in front of your face. With weird author names like Marimba and Annemannemaneman. You don’t have the time. Surely, there must be somewhere you can go, to simply take in every major mentalism principle ever invented at one go, and learn an incredible routine at the same time? Surely? A Tiktok unlock of the entire field?

Well; there’s some bad news and there’s some good news. The good news is, there is a place you can go and get very near to the above. The bad news is in two parts. First, it will still involve READING. And second, with your mindset, you’ll never be a mentalist.

Kaleb Wade, (for it is He), knows all about reading, and patience, and attention to detail; and boy does he know a lot about Mentalism. But he is more than a Mental List. He is a Mentabolist. Anyone can hoover up a goodly chunk of the literature, and before long, be pretty clear on a lot of the main principles used. Not long after that, they will probably have also discarded most of them; as boring, too simple, and old hat. And turned to that latest emetically edited “new“ mind marvel advertised on YouTube.

Kaleb Wade doesn’t do that. Didn’t do that. Instead, what he did, was take all those principles, absorb them, and metabolise them. Which is what makes his material so strong. Far from content to come up with a simple, but already very effective version for ‘add a number’, he then adds – appropriately enough – layer upon layer of further deceptions, using other existing principles: to the extent that by the end of a HACKED performance, not only have the traces been brushed over, it doesn’t even look like there were any there to start with.

Oh - And you can do it with words, too. (You know, those ‘booky’ things?). The world of Chess may have lost a potential Grandmaster, but just be grateful his skills have instead been applied to checkmating other people’s perceptions, and to making us all look incredibly cool.
— ETHAN KING

If you are unfamiliar with the name “Kaleb Wade”, it’s forgivable to overlook his latest contribution to the art—after all, I’d wager some don’t know his name. But they should. And if you do know it, then go ahead and see for yourself why ‘Hacked’ needs to be an immediate addition to your performing repertoire.

’Hacked’ is diabolically clever. The bonus routines alone are arguably as good (if not superior) to the main routine. It may sound cliché, but this should be priced higher than it currently is. Trust me, YOU’LL WANT THIS.

I give this my highest recommendation. Another triumph by Kaleb Wade.

In a time where every idea is immediately and effortlessly commercially shared, we are perpetually overwhelmed with emails, social media posts, and forum threads promoting the 'latest and greatest'. Consequently, discerning what to pay attention to when something new emerges becomes challenging.

If you are unfamiliar with the name "Kaleb Wade", it's forgivable to overlook his latest contribution to the art—after all, I’d wager most don't know his name. But they should. And if you do know it, then go ahead and see for yourself why 'Hacked' needs to be an immediate addition to your performing repertoire.

I've been a fan of Kaleb since the very beginning, closely following each of his releases. It may sound cliché, but the best endorsement or compliment I can offer him is that he's a true professional—a worker with actual performing experience. Kaleb creates primarily for himself, striving to stay clear of others' footsteps to maintain originality in his work, and his efforts are unequivocally unique. I, like many of you, own more magic than I'll ever perform, so when I've pared down my working effects over the years, two of his consistently make the cut for my limited strolling sets and (soon-to-be) stage performances as I prepare to return to the platform after a few years away. One of those effects, 'Frankenstein', I once hesitantly sold while hoping to save for something big, only to repurchase it immediately, realizing it was one of the best book tests out there. This book test, one of the finest on the market, is a keeper—I won't let it go again. Kaleb's latest work, "Hacked," is yet another monster of a winner. It truly packs small and plays big, allowing the performer's personality and style to shine through while also making the spectators the stars of the show. However, the real value lies in the fact that it passes the lost luggage test. It enables you to leave your electronics and gimmicked pads at home, requiring only a few minutes of preparation, and you can obtain what you need from any office supply or large retail store in no time. And did I mention there are no complicated gimmicks? The peace of mind knowing that the only thing that can go wrong is performer error is tremendously reassuring. Nothing can truly break on you; nothing is hard to find or challenging to construct nor is it something prone to wear and tear over time where you need to find an original if you lose it only to discover they’re no longer made.

'Hacked' is diabolically clever. The bonus routines alone are arguably as good (if not superior) to the main routine. It may sound cliché, but this should be priced higher than it currently is. Trust me, you'll want this.

Even if you are steadfast in your own methods, having this gem in your back pocket is invaluable for all the reasons mentioned above. Once you learn this method, you'll always be prepared to perform a stunning piece of multiple-spectator mind reading in almost any situation. Isn't that the kind of magic that’s worth it? I may be a 'nobody', but that means I'm not beholden to anyone or anything either. As a nobody who has earned a part-time living performing and am soon to do so again,

I give this my highest recommendation. Another triumph by Kaleb Wade.

I read a lot of books, but plenty of what I read isn’t nearly as engaging, thoughtful and thorough as this is. I know that I’ll be using some of the ideas within.

Great stuff Kaleb and I very much look forward to seeing what you produce in the future.

I should say off the bat that I am a fan of KW having purchased several of his creations in the past including his 'Occult' ESP type effect, a booktest, and several of his smaller booklets. Ironically, I feel like the strongest thing I currently perform is almost entirely based on an effect that Kaleb released to the community for FREE, which I think speaks volumes about both him as a person, and the strength of his published material. This is also one of the reasons that I wanted to write this review. This definitely isn't someone who releases things on a whim before breezing on to the next 'project'.

The foreword is written by Paul Brook and seems apt, as one of the core methods in play throughout 'Hacked' is also utilised in one of Paul's excellent walkaround mentalism effects. Note that this method is used in a very different way, to achieve a very different result to how it is used in PB's routine, and actually doesn't have to be used at all. Apologies for being cryptic but I don't feel it'd be appropriate to say too much more on that without giving away method.

The background of the basic effect itself as well as the history and evolution of some of the techniques involved are covered well, and in an interesting and engaging fashion, with thorough and well researched crediting.

One thing I particularly like is how KW gives his different ideas and subtleties clever and memorable names (Mr Y** principle?!?) which then makes it very easy to recall them when they are referred to later in the book.

Although 'Hacked' isn't intended for close-up, I can certainly see it playing beautifully well for a group of around 8 upwards in an intimate setting, as well as larger parlour settings, and of course on a stage. Subtly different handlings for stage and smaller groups are well covered in the book.

After explaining the basic stage and parlour / intimate variations, KW takes the reader on a very deep dive into lots of different ways that the main techniques can be employed to achieve even more ingenious results. I think it is fair to say that almost all mentalists will definitely find something of interest, even if not directly using one of the routines that Kaleb outlines.

Once again, the testimony and praise of Paul Brook (another mentalist who's work I admire, and who in my opinion doesn't stray far from the path of 'pure' mentalism) speaks volumes when he says he will be finding a way to use 'Hacked' in his long established stage show.

In the main body of the work I think that my personal favourite variation is something that partly shares a well known Marc Paul principle (again fully credited). This is certainly not going over old ground though, and the clever use of multiple layered methods, subtleties, and logical disconnects would, I believe, make this completely impossible to backtrack should anyone try. This truly is a case of old things done in clever new ways, with a very generous sprinkling of devious original thinking from KW.

The bonus effects take the basic 'Hacked' premise (which is already super strong in its own right) and elevate it further by using words or objects rather than numbers. Some of the thinking here is nothing short of impressive, with subtleties coming thick and fast. Anyone familiar with KW's 'The Alchemist' and 'Frankenstein' book tests will recognise a couple of principles that are neatly weaved in here.

There is ample opportunity to stamp your own persona or character on the methods and effects in this book, depending on your performance style and preferences. The flexibility of some of the techniques involved mean that the reveals / kicker endings of the various routines Kaleb outlines can be moulded to fit your show, and I really mean it when I say your imagination will be firing in a thousand different directions with how you can utilise this.

The effects KW writes about are intended to be modular in that I think they could be presented over anything from a few minutes to much longer depending on the circumstances, participants / audience and the performance venue. Likewise I could easily see someone closing their show with this, with the potential reveals and kicker endings, tailored to the performer / occasion / venue, leaving an audience utterly stunned.

As you can probably tell I really like this. It's a deep dive of a journey which takes us from the original add-a-number premise to producing a physical object from an envelope, via a treasure strewn path peppered with ideas, subtleties and variations. I read a lot of books, but plenty of what I read isn't nearly as engaging, thoughtful and thorough as this is. I know that I'll be using some of the ideas within.

Great stuff Kaleb and I very much look forward to seeing what you produce in the future.

Highly, highly recommend this! Get it while you can!
